Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted by a telecommunications company to locate underground utilities in a large agricultural field just south of Bakersfield, CA. There is a large area where workers have machinery and a large telecommunication pole was to be placed there. The proposed drill was to be 30 feet with a radius of 6 feet. GPR was used to scan the area to locate utilities. We also use Radio Detection for finding live power and communications signals and connecting to metal pipes and tracer wires. GPRS was able to locate 2 water and electrical lines.

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of Southern California was contacted by an underground pipeline company in order to scan for utilities prior to the inspection of an existing gas line. We were asked to scan an approximate area of 200’x200’ on an existing street that was temporarily closed; the work took place during the night in order to limit traffic. During the scan, we located electrical, gas, sewer, water and communication lines.
