Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Performed - Montecito, Southern California

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted by a homeowner in regards to locating the main gas line that enters his property. The request was due to the fact that the gas line was leaking and producing a distinctive smell; the owner tried locating the gas line by using the existing plans he was provided by the previous owner. This caused several attempted fails and trenches in different locations around the property. After the owner grew frustrated with the irrelevant plans he called us to come locate it. We were able to locate the main gas line that comes from the street and found where it 45’s into the property in less than an hour. We found that the line actually runs underneath an additional guest house and found the line at 3’ in most areas. The finding was nowhere near the area the owner tried finding it. Upon request we marked the finding using flags on the turf in order to avoid painting it.
