Ground Penetrating Radar Used To Scan For Unknown Utilities Prior To Excavation
- San Jose, California

GPRS was contacted by a large general contractor to locate any utilities prior to excavation. The Contractor was replacing an old gas line and needed to make sure there were no lateral lines running in the path of his proposed trench. With the GPR unit, GPRS was able to locate several unknown utilities running directly in the path of the proposed excavation area. This not only saved the customer time but also saved anyone getting injured during the excavation process. Ground Penetrating radar is a great tool to see the unknown when undertaking a project like this.
