Ground Penetrating Radar Used To Locate Underground Storage Tanks - Los Angeles, California

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted by an environmental firm to locate underground storage tanks and product lines for remediation of the site. GPRS was able to use ground penetrating radar to scan the property to locate UST’s and product lines running to dispenser islands. Their locations were marked and painted on the surface. We can also use an Electro Magnetic Profiler (EM) to sweep to property to detect areas of high conductivity such as UST’s or previous tank pits and underground features. GPRS then used its Trimble GPS to plot the locations and provide GPS coordinates and a Google Earth site map
