Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Performed
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted after a pipe had been leaking below a concrete slab. The casino suspected that the leaking pipe could have caused voids below the slab that could potentially cause cracks and damage to the concrete in the future. GPRS was hired to use ground penetrating radar to scan the room to detect voids below the slab. We were able to locate several large voids that were marked on the surface so that they could be injected with grout and repaired. GPRS also provided a map of their locations.
Ground Penetrating Radar is a great tool to scan areas of post tension cables, rebar, and conduits, including PVC pipes prior to core drilling, drilling for anchor bolts, or saw cutting. The concrete imaging process is entirely non destructive and free of radiation or health hazards. Please contact Ground Penetrating Radar Systems - GPRS to learn how we can assist with your project.
