Subsurface GPR Scanning GPRS California

Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Performed
- Santa Fe Springs, California

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted to locate underground utilities prior to excavations to put in a tank. A contractor who was going to be excavating decided to hire GPRS to locate the utilities on-site. GPRS uses ground penetrating radar along with Radio Detection to locate utilities. GPR can locate all types of utilities including gas, water, sewer, and irrigation. Radio Detection was also used to detect live power, electrical, and communications conduits. We were able to locate drainage pipes running alongside were the contractor wanted to excavate for the pit. GPR was able to see up to 5’ deep underground at this location. We were able to locate a Utility at approximately 4.5’ deep.
