Ground Penetrating Radar Scan Performed In Altadena, Southern California

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted by a general contractor to locate rebar or conduit prior to drilling for dowel anchors while modifying a concrete structure at a country club. GPR was used to scan along the area where a concrete beam was going to be attached to the existing concrete slab. GPRS was able to scan and locate two layers of rebar in the 14” slab. We also found several electrical conduits inside of the slab through the area. The precise locations of the rebar and conduits were marked on the concrete with permanent marker.
