GPRS Locates Utilities At USC For Los Angeles Area Construction Company
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. (GPRS) recently helped a Los Angeles construction company locate underground utilities at the University of Southern California. The client needed to install new lines in the ground by using directional soil boring. After damaging a main water line and shutting down a building for several hours, this company called GPRS to locate existing lines in their path. The cost it took to locate the remaining lines through the help of GPRS was a fraction of the cost it took to fix the line that was damaged and pay for the shut down in production. GPRS was able to locate several water, sewer, power, and communication lines for the client the day that they were called out. This helped keep the client’s project going without any more costly hits or repairs.
GPRS utilizes the most cutting-edge and up-to-date GSSI GPR equipment which emits no radiation and presents no safety hazards to the client or environment. Findings can be marked directly on the surface of the object being scanned with no wait time for processing or developing. GPRS can help you locate post-tension cables, rebar, conduits, and underground utilities prior to core drilling, saw-cutting, or trenching.
