GPRS was recently contacted for a project in Redding, California. The customer needed to have a site scanned for all utilities prior to soil borings for an environmental investigation. GPRS mobilized to the site and performed a thorough scan for all on site utilities including gas, electric, communication, water, and sanitary sewer. Equipment used for this site included ground penetrating radar(GPR) as well as electromagnetic pipe locator(EM).
The client had proposed interior boring locations that were scanned with a high frequency concrete antenna to ensure reinforcement and/or conduits were not struck during drilling activities. Each GPRS project manager has been trained and follows our industry leading subsurface investigation methodology(SIM) on each project they work on. This site photo shows our local project manager following our best practices for a thorough subsurface utility scan.
