Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. - GPRS - of California was contacted by a construction company to locate conduits in the slab prior to saw cutting and anchoring new kiosk. We found that the slab consisted of 12” on center rebar and the slab was roughly 5.5” thick. We found several conduits running from floor boxes and we marked all our findings with blue tape as requested. Most findings were in the 2”-4” deep range. We were asked to perform our work during the banks closed hours. We used our 1600 MHz antenna and Radio Detection to locate all the rebar in the wall and any signs of possible conduits. We also used our Palm antenna to scan in a few small congested areas which were inaccessible to our 1600 cart.
The image above shows an area where we found
a conduit running from 1 floor box to another at 3” deep.
