Ground Penetrating Radar Systems (GPRS) was recently contacted by Gary Scott Co. to use their ground penetrating radar technology to scan the concrete for rebar, post tension cables, as well as electrical conduits prior to coring a concrete slab at an Orange County California location. Once on site, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems was quickly able to determine the concrete slab thickness, as well as the location of the post tension cables throughout the slab.
Ground Penetrating Radar (commonly referred to as CONCRETE SCANNING) is ideal for precise location of rebar, post-tension cables prior to saw cutting and/or core drilling, mapping of electrical conduits, detection of sub-surface voids and utilities, and detection of underground storage tanks. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems can also perform concrete inspections.
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems provides GPR services throughout California, including the greater Los Angeles and San Diego areas. To contact the Los Angeles office please call 213-278-4304, or to contact the San Diego Office please call 858-395-1085.
Jason Wachter directs Ground Penetrating Radar System’s operations in the southwestern US, and can be reached at jason.wachter@gp-radar.com. Please feel free to contact Jason if you have any questions about ground penetrating radar, or if you would like to schedule a demonstration of our GPR system.
